MADE BY HAND, SHARED AT THE TABLE
Creative Experiences.
CREATIVITY, INTENTION AND GOOD COMPANY
There's a particular kind of clarity that doesn't come from another to do list. It comes from putting the phone down, using your hands, and sitting with good women. That's where our creative experiences began, with Create + Connect, and it's where they keep growing.
Tell me more.
Creative Experiences are small, hosted evenings where women make something with their hands and leave with more than they arrived with. Each one has a theme, everything you need is laid out on the table, and you can turn it into a full evening with a shared supper or a sound bath.
It's not a class. It's not networking with better lighting. There's no pitch to give and no version of yourself to perform. Just something to make, something to share, and women worth meeting.
Most of our creative evenings are held at Rockwater, Branksome, a place that feels like a second home. They travel too, to The Nici, South Deep and other beautiful spaces, and I'm always open to new venues. Not just the South Coast, I'm happy to come to you, with a small travel fee for anything further afield.
Our creative evenings follow the seasons, so dates aren't fixed months in advance. The best way to know when the next one lands is to sign up to the mailing list or follow along on Instagram, both are where it's announced first.
CREATE, ON PURPOSE
A glimpse of the evening.
Imagine arriving as the light starts to change. A long table is laid with everything you need, from paints and ribbons to magazines and little treasures. You sit down beside women you may not know yet. I guide you through the evening's make, and the conversation flows without an agenda or a pitch. Then you might stay for supper around the table, or lie back for a sound bath to close the night.
At our vision evenings, there's space for questions too: how to tell your own story well, in photos and in video, without overthinking it. The night closes with a Polaroid portrait. You leave with something you made, and usually a few new names in your phone.
Pick your mix.
Every Creative Experience starts with something to make. Then you choose how you'd like to finish the evening.
CHOOSE YOUR MAKE
• Vision Boards. Guided vision boarding to set intentions for the season or the year ahead, with a New Year edition each January.
• Candle or Ceramic Painting. Design and paint your own ceramic mug or candle, a small gift for home or even to give away.
• Decorations. A seasonal making evening in the run up to Easter or Christmas, with handmade decorations and seasonal treats.
• Key or Bag Charms. Choose, thread and style a charm that's completely yours.
• Curation. Gather, style and arrange the things you love, from a seasonal table to a corner of your home.
ADD YOUR CONNECTION
• Supper. Stay for a shared supper around the table. This is where the connection happens, the conversations that keep going long after the paint has dried.
• Sound Bath. Close the evening with a crystal bowl sound bath, layered with the sounds of the sea, and rest into what you've just made.
Come for the make on its own, or add a supper or a sound bath when you book. New makes land with the seasons, so keep an eye on the mailing list.
Who's it for?
Creative Experiences are for women who:
• Want to get creative without needing to call themselves "the creative one".
• Are craving real conversation, not another networking event.
• Like leaving an evening with something to show for it, a vision board, a painted candle or a bag charm, not just a business card.
• Believe intention setting works better with good food and good company than alone with a Pinterest board.
You don't need to be in a particular industry, or already know anyone in the room. You just need to want to make something.
For teams, brands and celebrations.
Every creative experience can be brought to your team, your clients or your guests. Think team away days and wellbeing sessions, client evenings, Christmas parties with something to take home, brand activations and festival pop ups.
I design each session around your people and your space, or help you find the right venue. Vision boarding, painting and a closing sound bath are especially popular with teams.
Enquire about a team experience
Do I need to know anyone to come?
Not at all, most women arrive solo. You'll be seated with others who are there for the same reason, to slow down, get creative and have a proper conversation.
What should I bring?
Just yourself. Everything you need is provided. If you have a few personal images or clippings that speak to you, feel free to bring them to a vision board workshop, but it's not essential.
Do I need to be creative to enjoy this?
Not in the way you might think. This isn't about being an artist or producing something beautiful, it's about giving yourself permission to think differently for an evening.
Where do Creative Experiences happen?
Most are held at Rockwater, Branksome. I also host at The Nici, South Deep and other venues, and bring them to businesses and teams wherever they are.
How often does it run?
Create + Connect runs four times a year, with the equinox and solstice. Other creative evenings are announced throughout the year.
How do I find out about the next one?
Sign up to the mailing list or follow along on Instagram, both are where the next date is announced first.
Can I book one for my team or a celebration?
Yes. Get in touch with your date, numbers and the kind of evening you have in mind, and I'll put something together for you.

A LITTLE NOTE TO SAY...
There's a Japanese phrase I keep coming back to "Ichigo Ichie". One time, one meeting. A reminder that every gathering, every conversation, every shared silence is its own small piece of magic.
There's something about the turn of a season that makes intention feel possible again. Not a resolution, not a five year plan, just a clearer sense of what you're actually reaching for next. Come and make your own version of that. Come and find your people. I'd love to have you with us.
